Description

The Edelrid Taipan 9.8mm climbing rope is made with reused sheath yarns leftover from production. In an upcycling process, up to 95% of high-quality leftover yarns are reused. Rather than discarding them, the sheath yarns leftover from standard products are used to make new ropes. This significantly reduces the amount of waste. And as the color of the leftover yarns cannot be planned in advance, each Taipan production batch has a unique color mix. This means that each rope is unique!

Please contact us if you would like to know what colours we have in stock.

Great rope

My friend says, "this rope is the business tie of climbing fashion" I disagree, I think it's stylish. If his rope was climbing fashion, it would be the fluffy-blown-out-oil-stained-rope-stored-in-the-boot-of-the-car of climbing in the 90s fashion. It feels good to have a new stretchy rope that catches a fall and suits my blazer jacket
